Our Story
Cosme Mathais Menezes starts a pharmacy in Goa,which was a former Portugese colony in South India .
Pascoal Menezes starts a new company under the name CMM (named after Cosme Mathais Menezes) and it grows to become the largest trader & 2nd largest importer of drugs in India. CMM also starts its own pharmaceutical manufacturing & branded formulations
CMM becomes a high quality pharmaceutical & OTC products manufacturer in India. It business grows all over India. It also grows internationally through joint ventures & licensing agreements with multinationals such as Carter-Wallace USA, Beiersdorf, Leukoplast, Winthrop & Old Spice.
The Menezes family acquires Carter Wallace USA and renames the company Wallace Pharmaceuticals.All shares brought, and JV with Carter is dissolved.
Indipharma is formed as an alliance
The Dharwad plant for tablets capsules and oral supplements was commissioned on 16th April 2001 as per Factories act 1948. It has a production capacity of 3 million capsules; 30 million tablets and 1.2 million oral powder sachets per month. Achieving all this through implementing of sound quality management systems
Wallace Lifestyle trade division is formed The first trade division was launched to serve the needs of Rheumatology, Orthopedics and Diabetes patients in the country.
Commissioned in picturesque Nalagarh at the foothills of the Himalayas. The plant manufactures Tablets, Liquids and Dry Syrups. It has a total area of 20,810 Sq.Mtrs with a production capacity of 24 million tablets
Paying heed to the growing needs of in the country, 4 new divisions are launched catering to a variety of therapies including Dermatology, Gynecology, Gastro-Intestinals, Anti-Infectives and more
